Published June 22, 2016 DUNLAP, Tenn. (UTC TV Studio) – In the December 2001 release of “Ali” staring Will Smith depicting Muhammad Ali throughout his boxing career. The original sweatshirt jacket that he was to wear in the movie had a coil zipper. Due to the fact that the coil zipper was not available or used at the time, Will Smith felt the zipper was not authentic for clothing in that period of time. Columbia Pictures reached out to Dunlap Industries to create a jacket that used an aluminum zipper which best represented the clothing during that time.
